In late Spring 2016, I worked on a project for Fox International (with their creative agency Red Bee) to help them promote ‘Outcast’; the new show from The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman.
To promote the show across multiple territories, we found local artists to create giant graffiti murals of comic panels that when pieced together formed an exclusive new page from the comic (the source material from the show) in various city locations around the globe.
These were created each week in the run-up to the premiere. To ensure people came along to see them we incentivised the audience with exclusive geo-locked content from the show, and for the UK launch at the MCM London Comicon – we created a secret Snapchat geo filter that could apply if you visited the mural.
